The Story of Bleach Bypass and the Cabin

I got to spend this weekend with seven of my favorite people in the world. Six (Dustin, James, Matt Metsker, Matt Kellen, Tim, and Peter) were my college roommates, and one (Corey) I meet through church.

We spent four days at James' cabin fishing, grilling, hiking, and firing projectiles with the largest slingshot I've ever seen.

I wanted to post a couple photographs from the weekend, not so much to share the details of the weekend but to show a processing technique I've been playing with recently. One of the guys on the trip (Tim) recently blogged about this processing technique and got me thinking about it. I don't use the exact same method as he would, and the results are slightly different, but it is an interesting effect nonetheless.

Here are some shots of Matt Kellen, processed using the contrasty-bleach-bypass-simulation-type-thing.

Ohanapecosh

There will be a number of wedding posts coming soon, but until then I wanted to post a couple pictures from Mindy's and my trip to Ohanapecosh campground in Mt. Rainer National Park.

We went car camping for two nights and three days with our friends from collage: Steve and Tina DeKoker, Jeff Melvard, and Mark Wicklander. We jumped in the Cowlitz River (and jumped back out again very quickly), went on a couple hikes, and ate a great deal of smores. It was a wonderful break.
