Heidi and Nick had such a perfect day for their wedding. It was held at the Bellwether Hotel in Bellingham in September. September is usually the perfect month for weddings in Washington, but on this day all signs were pointing to rain all day long. Mindy and I checked the weather forecast repeatedly in the days leading up to the wedding, came extra early and scouted dry locations for throughout the day, packed umbrellas for everyone, and didn't have a single drop of rain all day. In fact, during their bride and groom portrait session, the clouds broke away and we ended up using the sun to get our look, as opposed to just trying to stay dry! ...and did I mention the amazing floral design by Colleen Elkins of Botanikal? Everything just came together perfectly.I said it before, but Heidi and Nick were great to be around on their wedding day. Despite threatening rain, they have huge smiles in every one of their wedding pictures. That's a great way to start a marriage. Thanks again guys for a great day. We wish you the best.
