Climbing Red Rock

The last full day of our Spring Break we spent climbing at Red Rock. It was my first experience in a couple years, and it changed my mind about climbing. I had a blast. I just wish climbing didn't entail getting higher off the ground.

Mindy snapped this picture. I think it might be my favorite of the entire trip. Yeah, I'm jealous.

The menus at a restaruant in a tourist-trap old western town were printed on old tequila bottles.

And finally... This is what happens when you give your camera to "some guy at the airport." Let this be a lesson to you.

We're Back!

Mindy and I are back from our Utah 08 vacation! Could there be a better place to spend Spring Break than the Southwest? Well, probably, but we love our Utah anyway.

I guess I have to start with this... Bob decided to take our rental van off-roading. We litterally high-centered in the middle of me warning Bob, "I think if we go this way, we might high-center..."

This is Zion Canyon from atop Angel's Landing.

Mindy took this one in Zion. I thought it was a great angle.

After Zion, we followed the sun to Valley of Fire State Park. This is their arch. At an astonishing four feet high, it is probably the least impressive arch that can actaully lay claim to it's own turn off and descriptive plaque.

Also, in the Valley of Fire...

After Valley of Fire, we stopped by the Hoover Dam on our way to Red Rocks. This is Mindy waving at my shadow. She can't get enough of me.

Hoover's Angel?

At Red Rock State Park, we spent one day hiking the and one day climbing. The following pictures are from our trip into Icebox Canyon.
