I came to Western Washington University as a freshman in the fall of 1999. I studied Philosophy, and English; I met and shared life with some of the best friends I will ever have; and I eventually met my wife Mindy on the intramural softball field. (When she showed up, I got pushed to right field so she could take center.) And one other distinct memory from those years was my weekly walk down the hill from my college house to The Inn. I don't know how many hours I spent in the pews and back halls of the First Presbyterian Church where The Inn was held, but it was enough to etch itself firmly into the narrative of how I came to know my savior in a real and honest way.
On October 18th, I went back. Anna and Russ were getting married, and I had the privilege of photographing their day and their ceremony at First Pres. What a couple! They were totally up for any poses that came to my mind. They weren't afraid of a little mud on the wedding shoes. They were easy going and beautiful together. Put simply: It is good they are married!
I hope you guys love your pictures. Enjoy!
One more reason this wedding was fun to shoot was that my brother, Trevor, was a guest. I handed my camera to Steve Moore of Steven Moore Designs to take our picture and this is what I got. Don't worry though; he doesn't need skill with a camera to arrange flowers.

Pumpkin Party
Saturday afternoon, we headed out to Stoney Ridge Farm with my old college roommates and some other friends. I didn't take a lot of pictures. In fact, I only took one of the following daytime shots, but we had a great time. It was such a blessing to be able to see so many people I care about all at one time.
Dustin took this shot of Mindy and I:
This is Brian and Kristi:
I have no idea who took this, but I'm glad they did:
Dustin, hogging the spotlight from Peter's cannibalistic/vegetarian gourd:
Traditionally, everyone has to mimic the face of their pumpkin for some shots on the porch. Sorry neighbors!
This is Peter's pumkin again... HEY! PETER, PETER PUMKIN EATER!!! Oh wow, that's great:
This is mine. He is very sick. Notice the sad, helpless eyes and the boyles:
It took us a while to figure out where we had seen this face before, but then Tim realized it's Homestar! Good job, D.
