Susan Robertson is a friend and fellow teacher at Bellingham Christian School. Also, she can cook and host like nobody's business. So when she asked if I would be willing to do her family portraits, I was very excited. We had a great time. Mindy and I got to their house around 8:30, ate breakfast with their family, and then went out to capture some awesome shots around the barn and cornfield at their home.

Toby's Bath
Yesterday we gave Toby a bath. Mindy and I geared up in sweatshirts and dish gloves for protection, but good ol' Toby didn't scratch even once. He never really tried to escape. He never hissed. He only meowed one time when I accidentally spilled some water on his face. And when it was all over, he didn't run and hide. He let us dry him off with a towel. Poor guy.

The Fair!
Last Wednesday, Mindy and I met our friends Dustin and Abby at the NW Washington Fair. We had elephant ears, frozen cheesecake on a stick dipped in chocolate, saw livestock, rides, vendors, lots of friends, and topped off the night with a concert featuring country superstars Little Big Town. ...Okay, I hadn't even heard of them before that day, but it was free and they were very talented musicians. Their harmonies especially stood out to the musician side of me.
My wife is beautiful, but she is also a mystery. She hates every picture I take of her, but never hesitates to let me post "less-than-flattering" portraits. Go figure:
Nothing says, "USA A-OKAY" like vegetables:
Little Big Town, ladies and gentlemen:
