Nicki and Alex met and started dating in England, and chose to get married in Nicki's hometown of Bellingham. They got ready in the house Nicki grew up in, and then became the first couple ever to be married at the Whatcom Lightcatcher Museum. It was an exquisite and beautiful event, from Nicki's vintage dress and hairpiece to all the reception pottery handcrafted by Nicki's dad. It was designed and coordinated by Steven Moore Designs and the amazing local food was prepared by Ciao Thyme catering. Nicki's family was extremely welcoming and kind to Mindy and I. We sincerely hope you enjoy your pictures- we were honored to be a part of your day!

Nicki and Alex: Whatcom Lightcatcher Museum Wedding
Shooting a wedding is an awesome experience. Not only do I get to capture significant moments in creative and unique ways, but I also get to spend time with a bride and groom on one of the most important days of their lives. I get to document the anticipation and preparation of getting ready for the day. I get to help create a calm, romantic, and memorable atmosphere during the bridal portrait session. I get to document time spent with close friends and family and record the vibes of the party that follows. And, most importantly, I get to shoot the moment a lifetime commitment is made in a series of vows. It is quite a job, and I feel lucky to have it.
