The Mason/Starr Wedding

The Mason's are a family at Bellingham Christian School. And if they chose to send their kids somewhere else, quite simply the school would be a very diffent place. They are a family that not only understands what it means to impact their community, but they continually, actively seek out practical ways to bless those around them. They are encouragers, servants, and leaders and they do it all with great humility and love.

I know I'm laying it on pretty thick here, but the truth is anyone who knows this family, understands that I still haven't done them justice. So you can imagine how thrilled I was when last Spring, their daughter walked in to class and told me her grandma was getting married, and later that day I was asked if I would be willing to photograph the wedding.

Mason's, it was an honor. I hope you love your pictures.

  1. Simply beautiful! The one where they are feeding each other cake against the blue background is so beautiful it makes me want to cry!

You know, if I wasn't so overwhelmingly manly...

  2. That set was particularly fun to look through - it's not every day you get to see grandparents getting married :)

I think my favorite shot of the group is the one of their mid-sections at the beginning. It's an interesting perspective, and the body language still tells you a lot about them. It's creative and I like it.

I also thought the one with the bride out of focus in the foreground looking away and the groom in focus looking at her was pleasing to the eye.

  3. Thank you Brian and Anne Marie. It was a really fun wedding to shoot. I imagine as I build my portfolio, this one will continue to stand out.
