Avra and Seamus | Sodo Park Wedding

We shot this one the day before school started, and we couldn't have asked for a better time.  Avra and Seamus put so much thought into the details of their day.  My favorite part was the 7 minutes of the most intense Hora I've ever seen (to honor Avra's Jewish heritage), which the Michael Benson Band then somehow morphed into another 5 minutes of an Irish jig (to honor Seamus' heritage), and then ended by going back to the Hora for good measure.  I was pretty sure someone was going to have a heart attack, but all turned out well with huge smiles on every face in the room.  What a great way to start a party... and marriage!

Highlights/DIY: Avra and Seamus collaborated on several projects throughout their wedding preparation. Much of it began with an idea for their Scrabble board Save the Date postcard. Seamus, a designer and art director, created and produced their invitation and program, and Avra, a copy editor and proofreader edited all copy on their printed materials and their website. Avra and Seamus wrote their entire ceremony with their officiant and friend Shane.
