Heather + David: Engagement Session

Last Saturday, Heather and David and Mindy and I (and while we’re at it, Heather’s older sister and her husband and their baby) headed up to Western Washington University to shoot their engagement session. It was definitely a cold at first, but we moved quickly and actually were able to spend a good deal of time in the sun (even though a photographer's life seems to be often spent hunting for shade). Heather and Dave were a great couple to shoot. Totally open to crazy ideas. Patiently moving slightly to the left or to the right as I framed my shots. Smiling when I said stupid things to get them to smile. It was just a fun morning, because we got to spend it with such joyful people. I hope you enjoy the shots!

Fun Run 2008

Every year, BCS does a fun run to raise money for our PTF (Parent-Teacher Fellowship). All the kids in the school from Kindergarten to 8th run around a 1/8 mile track in the field behind our school. This was my fourth Fun Run, and even if some of the older kids think they might be too cool to actually have fun... well, they have end up having a great time anyway. I mean, really, what better way could there be to end the week than to miss your last couple classes, head outside into the SUNNY WEATHER and hang out with your friends? And if you can raise some money for the school or beat a personal goal while you're at it, it only gets that much sweeter.

Tennis the Menace

Fall Sports Are Here!

I love watching my students and former students play sports. I couldn't tell you how many pictures I have taken at soccer, basketball, and tennis matches over the last four years. I haven't ever posted a picture of my students playing sports on this blog because I want to be very careful about protecting them, but trust me, I've captured thousands. The sad part is, most of these images will never see the light of day, or more importantly, be viewed by the parents of these students.
